Traditional Kustoms Announces Shutdown


Two years ago we set out to create an independent print magazine for traditionally styled kustom cars.  It was our vision to have this supported by subscriptions only – keeping big business out of the decision making process for the content our readers we see.  For a time we grew and flourished.  We’re proud of the 10 issues we created, the friends we made, and the community of thousands that we built.

With much reluctance, and after considerable deliberation, we’ve decided to shut down Traditional Kustoms Magazine.

Running the magazine has been an incredible journey and a significant element in our lives.  However, we feel it’s time to move on.  The outpouring of your support was both inspiring and encouraging, yet in the end it just wasn’t enough to keep the bills paid.

Our kustom fans are the best and we’re deeply grateful to you for all you did to help us out.  We know many of you went the extra mile to help get the word out.  Without you – and you know who you are – we wouldn’t have gotten as far as we did.

Issue #10 Is Our Final Issue

Issue #10 had a very limited print run.  If you’re not a subscriber and want to pick it up – don’t delay.  We are anticipating that it will be in high demand and it will sell out quickly.

Will You Still Have Magazines For Sale?

Our Online Shop will remain open through Friday, June 24, 2016.  We will have back issues while they’re in stock, tees, and a few other items including: plaques, posters, and more.

Once we close our shop on June 24, we will no longer have any magazines for sale now or in the future.  If you are interested in adding these to your collection we encourage you to act sooner rather than later.

What About My Subscription?

Issue #10 has just arrived from the printer.

If you are a Subscriber you will receive an email notification when it ships which will be in the next few days.  As always, it’s being sent via bulk mail so please expect 2 – 3 weeks to get to you.

US Subscribers:Your shipping label will be marked with how many issues you have remaining and an enclosed mail-in card for back issue and refund requests.

International Subscribers: Your magazine will include an enclosed card marked with how many issues you have remaining and a special web link for back issue and refund requests.

All Subscribers: You may choose from the following:

  • You may request to have additional in-stock back issues mailed to you at no charge (the count to match the issues you have remaining).
  • You may request a refund of your unshipped issues in the amount of 90% of the remaining value to offset administrative costs.
  • You may opt-out of receiving a refund … and for that we extend our gratitude.

Back issue requests and refunds will be handled on a first-come, first-served basis.  Refunds will NOT be considered after June 24, 2016.

Important Dates

  • Back Issue / Refund Requests postmarked date: Friday, June 24, 2016
  • Back Issue / Refund Mailouts begin: July, 2016

We are closing down our online Shop on Friday evening, June 24, 2016.  We should have single issues and t-shirts through that date – but no later.  Shop early to add to your collection or miss out for all time.  After June 24, we will no longer have these items for sale.

After getting to spend time and visit with so many of our fans at shows and events we can say that we are truly grateful to you.  The Kustom world is filled with so many truly amazing people.  We appreciate getting to be a part of that while it lasted.
